Joanna Nguyen, MD
Dr. Nguyen is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Her academic journey included earning her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at UC Davis, followed by a medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. She completed her three-year residency training locally in Sacramento and went on to work for a large medical group before starting her own practice in Folsom in 2008.
Dr. Nguyen believes the first step in providing good care is to make patients feel at ease and to spend time with her patients to listen to their concerns. Her approach to patient care is to ensure that each patient receives personalized attention and treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. She finds it rewarding to partner with her patients to work towards the mutual goal of good health.
Dr. Nguyen's other strong interest is in aesthetics. She has advanced training and is certified in microneedling, laser therapy, and neuromodulator injection.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family (including her sweet baby dog), catching up with friends, and trying different restaurants.
